Rice Bubble Cakes

We had a great cooking/writing experience today - the photos below tell the story. Thank you to Jennifer (Cate's mum) and Sarah (Lilly's mum) for helping us today. The only photo I didn't capture today was the pure joy of eating the end product however, if you were to ask the children of Room 34 what they tasted like, I'm sure you would hear the words 'sweet and delicious' and 'yummy in my tummy'.

If you want to have a go and making 'Rice Bubble Cakes' at home, below is the recipe:

Ingredients:

125g butter
125g sugar
2 tablespoons honey
4 cups of rice bubbles

Directions:

1. Boil the butter, sugar and honey for 5 minutes.
2. Add the rice bubbles and stir until all the rice bubbles are moistened.
3. Spoon the mixture into small paper cases (or if you don't have any, roll them into balls).
4. Set it in the refrigerator and serve when cool!
