and as promised, here is the recipe:
6 large lemons
2 cups sugar
3 cups boiling water
2 teaspoons tartaric acid
2 teaspoons citric acid
1. Grate the lemons and put the zest in a large bowl.
2. Squeeze and strain the lemon juice, then add to the bowl, along with the sugar and boiling water.
3. Add the tartaric acid, citric acid and Epsom salts. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
4. Store in bottles in a cool place. Dilute with water to drink.
